Simple Present Tense and Present Continous Tense



Okay, now i will explain to you all about tenses in nglish Language.This is the first time that i write a post about education. Because previously, i only wrote about music and about myself. Don't be shock. I am an English student in my University. So, i will share everything that i have to you. muehehehe ......

Basically, in English Language there are only 3 tenses that you have to learn. Present tense, past tense and future tense. But here,  i will explain you about Simple Present Tense and Present Continous Tense.

Simple Present Tense

We use simple present tense for:

- Positive sentence
   Ex: Tom plays guitar

- General statement
   Ex: We breathe to live

- Habitual/daily activity
   Ex: Mark washes his clothes

- Schedule
   Ex: English library always opens at 7.30 o'clock

These are the formula for Simple Present tense

Positive:

I, you , we, they
Verb 1
He, she, it
Verb 1 + s/es



Negative:

I, you , we, they
Do not
Verb 1
He, she, it
Does not
Verb 1



Interogative:

Do
I, you , we, they
Verb 1
Does
He, she, it
Verb 1




Present continous tense

Present Continous Tense is very different from simple present tense, both in structure and in use.


We use Present continous tense for:

- To express something that happening now
   Ex: She is staring on me

- To express something generally in progress this week, this month, this year
   Ex: I am going to bali this December

- To express a special circumstances
   Ex: He is always making his brother angry

- To express something that will or will not happen in the near future
   Ex: Alan is going to the concert tonight



These are formula for Present Continous Tense:

Sorry for some mistakes. I hope your knowledge will increase more and more with this. Actually, yesterday i just got an idea to put this material in my blog. Because in my campus, i got a not-really-good-grade about this material because i got a problem about when we have to use simple present tense and present tense in the situation. So, besides share to you about this material, maybe i can improve my English skill by writing it here. mueheheh :p
